  • I will almost certainly watch It's a Wonderful Life.

I always associate The Great Escape with christmas.

And I have a strong hankering to rewatch Lawrence of Arabia. Given Peter O'Toole's recent passing it is bound to be on some channel.

    Passport to Pimlico?

North by Northwest is always entertaining although not very seasonal.

  • I do like Where Eagles Dare,  Bridge In The River Kwai seems to be a regular xmas time film - well I got the DVD one around 12 years ago Christmas and it's seems to have become a tradition.  Also Gladiator and Fight Club, although not 'old' films seem to have become habitual yuletide viewing.

    "It's A Wonderful Life", certainly,

Maybe "The Ref" with Denis Leary.

Von Ryan's Express  .that was always a Christmas staple when I was growing up.
Also would love to see 'North West Frontier' with Kenneth More.. a crackin' film about crossing badlands in India on an old steam train..
