What's Hot
I've had to resort to eBay for selling my Strat as none of you miserable bleeders want it.  Yesterday I received this message...

"Hi - would you be happy if I paid by PayPal and arranged collection myself by a third party?"

The bloke has 200 good feedbacks and is from Cornwall.

My heart is saying it'll be fine, my head is saying otherwise......

At work we won't allow anything like that, due to scams....

Pick up is ALWAYS cash on collection.

Just insist on arranging the courier yourself. If he has a preference for using (or not using) a particular company you can always ask him, but it must be you that sends it, with an online trackable signed-for service. If not Paypal won't cover you in the event it goes wrong - no amount of proof of pickup will work if you haven't stuck to the letter of their rules.

    Cash or bank transfer.

People have been caught out by paying by paypal, personal collection and then getting home and cancelling the paypal. You'll never see them again.

As far as I know there is no protection on a gift so you should be ok.

Still prefer cash or bank transfer though!

if he's using a cloned/stolen card then paypal gift isnt safe for you and can still be claimed back.

if he's genuine then paypal and you posting it shouldnt be a problem for him

    No.

Follow the Paypal rules to the letter, no exceptions.

He pays, you ship by a trackable signed-for courier service.

That way you will be covered by Paypal's seller protection.
