  • Nice.  I spent that amount on my first ever guitar, an Epi bolt on SG.

I'd have been miles better off with one of those...

I sold one of these on ebay 2 or 3 years ago and got £175 for it. I was gutted!

  • I sold an SE for about £200 a couple of years ago too. Also regretted. For the money they cost they are quality.

  • The first couple of iterations of the SE's (Santana, EG, Soapbar, sometimes Tremonti) always seem to go for around the £200 mark. The camo and billy martin ones even less.

If they had the wide thin neck I'd have grabbed an SE.  I suspect the necks on these are as chunky as the mk1 santana - great guitars but just too thick for me :(

The EG is right at the top of my list for my next prs - finding a US model for sale when I have the cash available is turning into a long search.  I still regret not buying the gold one on MR last year....

I had a sunburst one of these.

I now have a badly refinished red one :)

On the plus side, I also upgraded the pickups to 2 x Tonerider humbuckers, and it now sounds as good as it plays.

Build quality is exceptional for the cost, as is the playability.
Only downside was the somewhat cheap looking sunburst (possibly subjective, that) and the so-so stock pickups.
For a while I had a Bulldog single coil in the neck and it was superb.

Also, I'm not selling this guitar, it's a heads-up, the link being in the opening post. :)
