I just wanted a small simple "drop in the gig bag" multi fx., so when one appeared on ebay at a fair price, I thought I'd give it a punt.

So......The Korg Pandora Stomp................truly the WORST piece of equipment I have ever bought in my life!!  Noisy, hisses, effects are absolutely crap and the computer usb interface is hit & miss .................f*****g useless piece of s**t and totally unusable!!

It does however make a great door stop!!
Only my opinion of course!

I had a Korg Pandora PX4D and I concur... it was shite!

  • Surely it's not that bad. It has 10 pretty good effects and the other 160 or so can be adjusted and saved. Also has a headphone socket so I can play at home without an amp. Yea..it is at the cheap and cheerful end of the fx pedal spectrum.

  • Sadly, it really IS that bad.

Not very rock and roll smashing up a pedal rather than a guitar on stage

Can't be worse than any of the Line 6 stuff....

I agree completely. There is absolutely no reason to get one of these when Zoom MS50Gs (or the other two more specialised ones) are available. I'm in the process of trying to sell mine, and I almost never sell gear: Japan's used market offers incredibly low prices.

  • I have an old Pandora - version 3 I think. Its ok, I still have it luckily, its a bit noisy, a bit digital, but it serves a purpose. I decided I needed some better rhythm tracks so I bought a Pandora Mini, which, I believe, is the same more or less as the stompbox version. There were some very interesting ring modulation and synth type effects on it that I was impressed with but the overall sound quality was, in my opinion, absolutely atrocious. Anything with any sort of gain above a completely clean sound was just full of digital noise and hiss, the reverb tails were all horrible digital mess. I would say it probably just has the cheapest converters going and some very poor algorithms. Overall I was very shocked that Korg could put out something that bad. I sold it before I got the problem some people get where it turns into a (admittedly small) brick
