    Oh and of course, if you're lucky enough to know musicians like Moose and Heaton (RIP), how about New Model Army:
    Roland said: Scales are primarily a tool for categorising knowledge, not a rule for what can or cannot be played.
    Supportact said: [my style is] probably more an accumulation of limitations and bad habits than a 'style'.

    If you're including a trio being three instrumentalists plus a vocalist, then although Led Zep could be somewhat 'patchy' live sometimes, when they were really cooking they were insanely good.  This is whole lotta love going into let that boy boogie from 5:30 on - and then back to WLOL. The interaction of playing and vocals is just awesome, with some wonderful slap/jazz bass from John Paul Jones at 9:20 and Page at his very best!

    I started out with nothing..... but I've still got most of it left (Seasick Steve)

    Early Rory Gallagher - "Live in Europe"

    (Sadly there's a really annoying tinkly piano all the way through "Irish Tour"

    Imagine something sharp and witty here ......

  • If Led Zeppelin and Free get a mention, then look no futher than the Who circa 1970. They were probably at the top of their game as a live act at the time. They had a huge sound around that time considering they only had guitar, bass & drums

    This is came to mind as a song normally associated with twin guitars but sounds enormous here with one ( and some special effects).
    Tipton is a small fishing village in the borough of Sandwell.

    Here's an insight into how good musicians keep stuff dynamically interesting without losing momentum - especially useful for a three-piece;
