Hey guys,
Here is our latest SB3 build, with a poorly edited video to boot!
Schaller M6 machines, 3D6 bridge Dunlop Jumbo Fretwire
One slight fault in the body top - repaired, aesthetic damage only.
Pickups are Seymour Duncan SH-4 and a Suhr Single which was kindly donated. Controls are 3 way selector, kill switch, 500k volume with push-push coil split and tone with dedicated isolater switch.
Maple/sapele neck, sapele body wings (maple fillets) with book-matched English walnut top. Bound wenge fretboard, walnut veneers, mahogany control plate and spalted beech finishings dyed green, cus awesome. The neck is my usual thin line profile with a soft trapezoid flat back, the nut is a little broader than usual, 44mm bone nut. This does make for a great neck for anyone with slightly kielbasa fingers like me!
finish is a filled, (boiled) linseed oil finish for a smooth satin feel.
here is the video! Can you tell I had a cold at the time?
Guitar is currently available for sale at £750 (which is taking in to account the slight body fault). This is arguably the nicest guitar we have built, in my opinion, anyway!
I hope you like it, I just wanted to show it off a little, which is why I posted here rather than in the for sale section (though I may repost) but if you are interested, send me a message.
Cheers,
Stuart
