I like prs guitars in general and I like the guy himself for his enthusiasm but their sales patter is very off putting

When I hear Paul Reed Smith talk with  enthusiasm and passion about Ted McCarty and the Golden Era of Gibson guitars, it is more than enough to make me go out and buy an amazing guitar!!!

But not a PRS (obviously).

Pretty difficult to argue with the guy, I reckon.
Whether you like the cosmetics of his guitars and whether you like the sound they make are both down to personal taste, but I don't think it's fair to fault the quality of his work or the ethos behind it.
