I want to buy some drums...

So, I'm missing drums like crazy. I used to play for years and then haven't for about 3 years.  Sat in front of a kit the other night and I was shite!

So, the second hand market is either 3k dw kits or gear for music.

Which shops/sites do people recommend buying from? Would need the whole package including hardware and cymbals etc.

Yes i've googled, but wondering if anyone else has experience of competitive/helpful places?

Think about what you want to achieve here.
I have both- it is a practical impossibility to play as much as I do without an electronic kit.
Do you want to occasionally play the acoustic kit or do you want to get good?
I've probably played 3 hours of drums today- having an electronic kit allows me to do this.

Yeah tried, but by the time it became fun it was pushing 3k!

If I had a spare 5k I'd go for them, because about to have another baby!

  • I hear you Joey - not cheap for a real good sounding kit..... the top ones are brilliant. I'd love an acoustic kit, but the neighbours, misses and kids don't permit.

Course an electric is no good if you want to play with others.....

Anyway good look with it. Drums are an essential stress relief and do something for me that guitar just doesn't.
