Has anyone seen any of these in the wild?

I read about them in "The Epiphone Bible", the bookazine produced by Guitar and Bass mag, and I think they look fabulous, so I'd like to try one or two.

I went to Dawson's in Manchester on Saturday, and they had... none.

Interesting, that, @Winny_Pooh - his name cropped up a lot, although I hadn't heard him play before.

Well, I've bitten the bullet, and ordered a Zenith with F-holes in natural, from Thomann.

    NGD coming soon...

Thomann? If it's not too late to cancel - you may wanna check out the Richtone sale

@redrighthand - ta for the tip, but it looks like it's still cheaper at Thomann - 589 euro vs £599 at Richtone.

  • @Nitefly you may want to give them a call. They sent the offer below out last Sunday, though may have sold out now.

Oh bugger.  It's on its way from Germany now.  That's nearly £50 off what I've paid!

I checked the Richtone website last night and there was no mention of that offer, they had them in stock back at £599!

*edit* I might try them for the special hard-case though, Thomann didn't have any...

  • maybe fire a cheeky email to Thomann asking if they'll price match!

  • Funny you should ask because I went to PMT in Portsmouth yesterday and tried the Masterbilts out.
    I loved them.
Build quality looked to be top notch. Lovely sound - very cutting when thumped big-band style, but capable of warm tones when played more delicately.

I didn't realise these could be plugged into an amp so can't speak of the amplified tone.
I'm very tempted to buy one myself.
