a take on Steve Reich's "Piano Phase"

I have long enjoyed Steve Reich's stuff, and Philip Glass etc. -- I find the patterns hypnotic.

Came across this vid which I thought was great cos it shows how the notes of the scale shift against each other for each piano.

I love the way complexity builds from something so simple.

Do you know Reich's Triple Quartet? It's a bit more emotional than some of his other stuff. Unfortunately my disc comes with a piece called "Electric Guitar Phase" which I don't like. 

I do quite like Glass's Violin Concerto, but I get a bit fed up of it hearing used as backing music on various documentaries!

I'm a big Reich fan. 

Electric Counterpoint, Tehillim and Music for 18 Musicians are pretty awesome.
