Songwriting online course anyone? (Another coursera course)

Can you teach something like songwriting?

I watched a video with pat teaching and have come to the conclusion that you can. And even if it isn't entirely up your alley, seeing as this is a very personal thing, it will definitely serve to give you some ideas to expand on at the very least.

Nah,, found a jazz teacher locally (at last) and plan to keep my evenings busy with whatever he gives me for some time,,

Tempted do the production course instead, It's starts while I'm on hols tho',, will see,,

To be honest, I didn't submit my work for the last assignment of Button's course. Finishing this would be my goal too.

so ..... it started on monday .... i've just about managed to watch all the lessons although it was a struggle to concentrate and stay awake through them all and i had to keep myself occupied with doing other things at the same time, like tidying up, chopping onions, putting cups away etc.
its a shame i don't have an iron as i could have done the ironing too.
i havent looked at any of the quizzes yet.

pat seems like a fun guy and i do find his bony, expressive hands quite interesting, but it feels a bit at times like some kind of preacher / new age guru with the rambling stories and hammy acting

anyway, i got one thing of interest from it, thinking about the narrator view point.
something i've always done instinctively but never though too much about the 2nd person narrative before and its place in the intimacy scale

Yep. I did all the video lectures and quizzes yesterday. Learned more stuff than I thought I would in the first bunch of sessions too.
