I know he had become a figure of fun for some, but that's sad. He was only 57.

Bobby Vee gone today as well :(.

This is really not a good year.

just heard myself...how old was he ? Guy was a bit of a freak to be honest but still a bit young to go. And I feel for his surgeons, they must be gutted.

Hopefully his surgeons have been struck off the medical register by now.

Only 57.  Although clearly he hadn't been in the best of health for some considerable time, I was still quite shocked by this one.  RIP.

I wasn't a fan back in his 'hit' days, but having caught him on TV a few times over the years he was a very entertaining bloke. Mad plastic surgery, but I guess it's what he wanted. Too bad he's gone, RIP Pete.

  • I liked their hit. He was an icon of his day but thought he had turned into a monster in later years

One of my best friends shares his name - he's been told that he spins people round since 1985.
I had their second single "Lover come back to me" on 12" and I loved it. Pete, George and Marilyn were pioneers!
