What's Hot

Ash body, distressed Daphne Blue nitro finish, relicmasters neck, split post klusons, fender custom shop texas special pickups, Custom CoolEtch scratchplate (etched and patinated nickel), 4 way switching (extra one is neck and bridge pups in series - nice!), etc..  Nice early sixties feel to it.

ha ha!  Aye I think I might have dropped it a few times.  :)  Oh, and when you making guitars, the potential relics sort of choose themselves if you know what I mean.... ;)

I'm new here by the way so hello everyone!

  • Celtic tele Esquire was a short-lived Korean model line in basswood.  With a single Atomic humbucker, perhaps intended for the post-punk (and US Irish?-) market - or more likely not thought through even that far.  The paint job was the worst thing about it, matte silver.  It was incredibly light, so it could take some weight, which is what it got in the form of an engraved pewter 'shield' (basswood was actually used by the Saxons for their shields).  The design is from the Book of Kells: it is called "Two Dogs" and symbolises determination (doggedness). The guitar is hence named "The Dogs." Use it for slide now, Atomic long gone (although that worked well), currently sporting a Mojo Gold Foil.

Maybe have one of yours for my new thinline build.  Pm me with contact details and we'll see where we get to.
