TV yellow finish from a rattle can?

I'm gradually removing the Satin Black (thankfully thin) finish from my GSPBASSES LP jr, with a view to refinishing in either Crimson Stunning Stains Cherry Red and finishing oil, or if I can achieve it TV Yellow.....
Has anyone managed a reasonable result from a Rattle can? I know the real procedure is much involved and I really can't be arsed!......
Suggestions and experiences appreciated.....

Steve's products (Manchester Guitar Tech) are very very close to the original vintage colours in my personal experience and view, and his web site is very informative.

Steve did Sonic Blue in rattle cans for me a few years ago, and lovely it looked too.
