    Wish they'd shown the final result after all the ageing and I'm curious if he masked the grain mismatch on the edge by going a bit thicker with the pigment.

    One of the things I most like about Dan Erlewine is that he isn't too precious about certain practices. It was from Dan that I nicked the idea of mixing superglue with dust from a sanded nut to fix over cut nut slots without replacing the whole nut, this iirc was on a 54 Strat with a buzzing open G and he didn't want to mark the finish and detract from the originality, top fella :)
