Mosky EP booster?

The 'XP' I have one and it's really good, use it with single coil guitars to fatten them up rather than as a boost, but as a boost it works well too

Yes. It's decently built and it makes my guitar louder. I bought it as a bog standard transparent volume boost to go in my amp's effects loop and it does that job perfectly. 

Can't tell you if it sounds like a real EP booster.

Having watched this I'm wondering if the Mosky can add the same tonal impact on a timeline as the xotic or dunlop ep preamp .

eBay. I bought mine before the Brexit economic shitstorm so it cost me £14 instead of the £18 the Chinese sellers are asking now. Took a good while to arrive from China, but at that price...

(starts from about 13:45 if you CBA to watch the whole thing)

I did have a quick blast with the XP in front of my amp before it went on my board, but only at bedroom volume. It does do something like that.

Got one from China. Turned up after 3 weeks. Had a fault whereby engaging the pedal resulted in high pitch squealing noise. Luckily returning it was simple, to a UK address, and had my refund in less than a week.

which version of the EP is this a clone of V1 or V2 - V2 has +3db gain vs unity  and a treble cut dip switches afaik - V1 I think has cut for treble + cut for bass ..

V2 I think. I'll have to pull out the box, which I think has a manual (such as it is for a pedal with one knob) in it. 

Or I might be making that up. I might have just looked up the manual for the EP booster and assumed it was the same. I don't think I ever moved the DIP switches.

Not on my eBay they haven't. If I search for "xp booster" I get dozens of listings for £18 and change.

Still, what's an extra pound? And you won't have to wait three weeks for it like I did.

Weird that I can see the cheaper listings and you can't. I wonder if there's something in your settings blocking international listings or something?

Will do a NPD on the Mosky XP booster over hols - very pleasantly surprised so far ..

and despite being sold as Andoer - its labelled Mosky

That might be it. Most of the listings that get returned when you search for "xp booster" don't mention a brand, or mention a different brand name to what's on the pedal. Glad you're enjoying it.

Me too. Sounds nice and does make a pleasing tonal difference, so not transparent to my ears. Never knowingly heard an EP Boost, so can't comment on that.

I got the XP booster off ebay earlier this year for £18....and its probably the best buy of 2016 for me - it does a great job for a decent price. Its really an SP clone...but for the right kind of money.
