As it says - I need to upgrade from my Presonus Audiobox USB, which only has two preamps and no line inputs.

At a minimum, I'd want 2 x XLR preamp inputs and 2 x line inputs (all four to be used simultaneously).

Here's the rub...it needs to work with Linux, so it has to be class-compliant. That means it's got to be one of the following:

- Presonus (pretty much anything)
- Focusrite (almost any USB model apart from the 6i6 and maybe a couple of others)
- Tascam (one of the more recent ones - anything released *after* the US-1800)
- Steinberg (bit touchy, this one)
- Behringer (most stuff seems to work)
- Native Instruments Komplete Audio 6

What you got?

I've got a Tascam US-122L i've just replaced with something that has spdif. Is that older than the US-1800? (I know bugger all about these things really).

Let me know if it's any good for you.

Sadly, I don't think it is - you can't use all four inputs at the same time, to my knowledge.

I had an Akai EIEI interface - 4 XLR/Line inputs and used standard Asio4all drivers, maybe worth looking into?

Sadly, no - it's not properly class-compliant, so it doesn't work with Linux :(

It's for sale - its hardly been used. It looks like new (honest). I guess about £90 including p&p. They are about £160 new.

    I can post a pic.
