Last purchase of the year, a 61' Bravewood Strat

I know there is not much love for the relic thing here, but I really like it;

  • Happy NGD! A good guitar is a good guitar; pristine or relic'ed it doesn't make much difference to me. Play it loads, make tons of music and enjoyed it. Job done.

    I don't much care for the relic thing but I like those Bravewoods.
    IMO they're the most authentic vintage Fender sounding guitars around.

  • As long as they're done right I can appreciate them and that looks right. Nice Guitar Dude.

    Thanks for the nice comments, it really plays lovely, nice flat fretboard radius and has a set of Bare Knuckle Trilogies in it too

    Previous post looked churlish so edited.

    It's lovely, just a shame about the logo.  I wish more talented guitar builders would put their own name on rather than someone else's...........  I'll stick with my genuine Fender.

    Is that a Fender Custom Shop relic, made in the Fender factory?
    Hi Richard, Nope this is built by the highly regarded Bravewood Guitars, nothing to do with Fender

    Sorry, as you'll see that was a bit blunt, apologies, so I edited it.

    The hardware is just steel mate, not gold

    Looks lovely. I like the relic'ing, looks like it occurred naturally.

    Just interested though, how does he get away with using the the F logo?

    Very small operator only about twenty a day, also to be fair think theirs rules on this site about showing the decals on these replicas , last thing want is these tiny operators getting unnecessary attention .

    My opinions on this are probably slightly biased but it's a shame that this builder has to pass his work off as someone else's. Seems to get high praise and is a known name so perhaps it's time to start using that? Like Suhr etc.
    This is not an official response.

    I agree, it is essentially a forgery.
