Sold 1962 epiphone crestwood custom £2,200

for sale is my lovely and original 1962 epiphone crestwood custom, serial number 42836 (early 1962). A great playing and great looking and unusual vintage guitar with a sound somewhere between p90 and pafs. 

By 1962 Gibson had taken over epiphone so this was made alongside the classic early 60s Gibsons using similar workmanship and parts.

Mini PAF humbuckers (an idea that appeared on the Les paul deluxe by 1969), pearl peghead logo, pearl oval fingerboard inlays, vibrato tailpiece and Gibson style knobs and kluson style 3 a side tuners as per its cousin, the Les paul / sg. In essence, this was the epiphone version of the Gibson Les Paul Sg of the time. I might be sellIng my 1961 Sg with original pafs too, and this epi has a similar slim and easy to play neck. It weighs a shade under 7 lb. 

All original with what I believe is an original blond hard case in useable condition (if you can ignore the peace sign painted on it) but the guitars is a bit faded and has a few minor knocks.

When I bought her for $4,500 last year in LA in Norms Rare Guitars she had a badly done black stinger on the neck joint to hide what I assume was a neck break at the body join. I later found out that the neck probably was broken st the body join and was set at the wrong angle so I had the neck reset brilliantly and most of the black stinger paint at the join with the body removed by Andy Gibson of Denmark street. He also set her up beautifully. 

I'm looking for £2,200 to reflect the neck reset. I think they go for c £3500 plus with no neck issues when u can find them, but they don't all play as well as this one. Will consider trades for a duesenberg  starplayer tv or collings 290 with bigsby or maybe a hand made Les Paul junior copy. 

Collection in north london or within reasonable distance. Very nervous about posting given the age and value.
