Bass making people

I'm well versed in where to look for guitary type 'bits', but have been bitten by the bass bug so now have the Bass GAS. Thus, embarking on a bass parts-a buildy thing. Direct me to the places to purchase quality Fendery bass bits, like tuners, bridges, knobs, etc etc.

Looking at putting together a '51-esque P bass/Tele bass. Hate chrome, so anywhere that pushes out good nickel plated stuff a bonus.

Advice about potentiometers etc welcomed. I plan on using a SD stacked P bass in the 'sweet spot' and one of those TV Jones things a bit closer to the bridge.

nice low parts count so that will keep things simple.  not liking chrome will make it more difficult, especially for fender style stuff available in the UK.
