    From the news, I think it was a stroke almost certainly caused by the stress of her daughter's death. Very sad.

    One of my earliest memories was "Singing in the Rain" on the TV, seems like all my early memories were musical in one way or another that didn't make any sense at the time but all do now. Didn't know she was Carrie's Mum at the time of course, I was about 3!

    Very sad she had to witness her daughter go first, no parent should do that, at any age.
