Can anyone recommend me a good tonebender clone? I'm incompetent, so a kit is out. Surprise, surprise I'm seeking those Led Zep 1 sounds.

  • @juansolo all day long

he makes the daddy of all tonebenders

he makes my all time favourite fuzz, and I say that having owned a shit load of fuzzes
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

  • If you want it to look all O G and sexy pigeon effects do a copy of the gold slanted enclosure, you could get a mk1 clone built in it.

Magnetic Effects Solar Bender. This sounds excellent, and it features a voltage converter so you can daisy-chain it with standard 9V DC effects. Sold out at the moment, but I think there's one or two on Reverb.

  • not a huge fan of the old TB (prefer FF) but the magnetics solar bender 2 above is the best i've tried, and not fussy about power, placement, amp, guitar etc like the originals.
