No longer for sale, this monster has gone back to living under the bed. 

Well what can I say, if you hate the Xiphos I have for sale then I guarantee you probably won't like this either, it's not for the traditionalist. 

Minarik Studio Extreme Medusa, 22 frets, I think it's a bound mahogany body/neck, engraved stoptail with tuneomatic bridge, 'Tone Perfect' pickups and comes with a fitted case. 

Info on these are a bit thin on the ground, if you didn't know, Minarik make very ornate USA made carved top guitars inlaid with all sorts of dead shellfish, and they have a commensurate high price tag.

The Studio Extreme versions mimic the Super Custom line body shapes but with flat tops and are made in Korea and are much cheaper.

 I don't think there's a UK distributor for these, but know Brandoni Guitars had some Infernos in (yes, I have one of those too ;-) ). 

Hardware is top notch and the whole thing feels very well constructed. It's not very heavy due to 'tone chambers' hence the bigger areas on the bass side.

All in in all it's a decently made guitar, plays well and does sound good, the pickups are definitely in PAF territory, very very similar to SD Seth Lovers so despite its wild looks it's more suited to rock and blues in its tone than metal, although the pickups are an easy thing to swap.  There's 4 conductor wiring on the pickups so the could be wired to split if you wanted. So at present it doesn't djent.

The semi hard case has a little bit of wear of wear to it but hold the guitar securely.  The only real bit of wear is a small scuff to the rear of the top horn as shown below.  Other than that it's in great condition with a small amount of tarnishing to the gold hardware. 

I've played this out on a few occasions and the guitar used to get more of a cheer than any of the songs we ever did. It's a showstopper, a conversation piece but it's light, balances well on a strap or seated and plays well. 

Based in York, mutual meets or collection preferred.  I won't post this, sorry!
