I've got 3 big races within 6 weeks so going to be doing alot of tapering, recovery and carb loading!! 3 weeks between first and 2nd races so will take a week to recover from the first then just 2 weeks which isn't enough time to train or taper properly so I'm just treating 2nd race as a training run/final long run and ignoring taper for that race but tapering for 3rd race. Going to be interesting!

Still enjoying the warmer (relatively- this is Scotland) weather & it being light enough for me to get out after the kids are in bed. Opens up the options of just nipping out for a brisk 5k.

6 miles up the canal on Friday, and a small 2017 PB in Parkrun on Saturday.

Next goal is to get to 8k runs and regular 10k runs by the end of the year

We can all feel a little bit smug, according to a new study running an hour extends your life by 7hours :

So if I run at my steady 5mins per km rate for my targeted 1000k this year that's 5000mins, or 83.3hrs... Apparently gaining me 24 days and 8 hours!
Shame I'll probably spend it at work!
