That is sweet…finally they do an affordable 30'ish watt amp with EL34's!!!

now…if that only made that in Orange rather than black…

    edit: I'm hoping its affordable?!?

Holy shit, finally they do a high-powered amp with more than one channel. If they're anything like the Dark Terror, they'll be awesome.

  • Wish they were a dual Jim root, but it might be an improvement over the original dark series, which I really didn't like.

Then again, a dual Jim root would probably just be a rockerverb...

  • Dark Terror is a quality amp but let down by only one channel...so yeah, this does look interesting!

  • How much gain is it possible to have? :)

I've never stood in front of my TH30 thinking "how can I get more gain?"

I do very much like the prospect of EL34s, 3 band eq...and I like the black!

    Hmm....

Does it do clean? Or is it just filthy and filthier?

I can't believe that, of all people, I was the one to ask this. :D

the EL34 is a big draw i think...they've almost answered the requests of people who wanted the rocker 30. the only potential problem...how clean can one of the channels be? given they are both overdrive channels, i cant see that even with the gain all the way down you could get much headroom...

  • to be honest it looks like the jim root and the dark terror in 1 amp and from the description this is very dirty and very dirty :)

Still want one though, Give me a price god dammit

  • It looks like channel 1 is a regular tiny terror sound and channel 2 is the dark terror gain.

Maybe they'll bring out one with the Jim root sound though. One of the best sounding gain amps I've heard, compared to the dark which I thought was okay, but paled in comparison.

Bugger all headroom, so nice to see a proper power section.

I take back what I said if it's two OD channels... Seems pretty limited. I'd have thought clean and filth would have been a better way to go, if you really wanted crunch you could use a pedal, like loads of people do anyway.

Having a 100w amp with no clean headroom doesn't seem right.
