I will be in the UK that week, if I can sort out the logistics to get from Sarfend up to Brum I'll be there on Saturday.......

Helpful hints and and tips for trains etc. would be greatly appreciated.

They are buried somewhere in this Discussion but the nearest train station to the show is Jewellery Quarter. It's about ten minutes journey from the main Birmingham stations, it also has a Metro stop if you woukd rather take the tram. It's then about ten minutes walk to the venue( not very obvious route so plan it/ GPS it). I think it's Chiltern Railways so the cheapest tickets from London are usually from Marylebone.
Jewellery Quarter is pretty quiet at the weekend, especially on a Sunday, but it's interesting if, err, you really like jewellery.

So is my badge ready? I'll wear it proudly like a guitar sheriff.

Missed it last year due to my leg being in 5 or 6 pieces.  Will be there on the Sunday.

theFretBoard badges will be printed this Friday. Anyone who wants a badge, and hasn't yet said they're coming, needs to say so in this thread before Thursday night. Otherwise you will have to hand write your own with a felt tip pen.

I'm usually very-well prepared for trips like this but I think I'll be relying on gmaps to get me everywhere. Totally off the 'cuff!

That's OK, I have to use Google Maps every time I go to the show, and I've been there for the last 3 years...
