The Squire / Sambora guitar interests me as it's been sold a few times and John is one of my favourite guitarists any idea who commissioned the replica?

Yep - they are all pretty wow worthy. It's amazing what the Chinese can do now isn't it?

One things for sure gibson can't make one as good as a hand made one
Ooh I dunno, at least they remember the fret nibs, unlike the Chibson pictured above.
    ;)
The one pictured above is a replica of the John Squire / Richie Sambora burst. It was commissioned by the owner to replicate every detail, including the fact that it had been refretted and lost the knibs. Knock a quid off if you like.
Er, it was a joke, hence the winky smiley face thing...

  • Let's see them Gibson headstock shots Lads. They're noticeable by their absence.

I'll try but my camera struggles to focus correctly on head stocks sometimes- obviously an intermittet fault

The original burst was owned by a chap called Cosmo Verrico at the time. Terry Morgan had the guitar in hand to replicate it.

Or maybe the inconvenient bit Neil...Hee hee.

To be honest I think more of my friendships with the people posting these pictures, than I do about making any other comment than this on these fakes.

If and when it ever comes on top with these guitars, and history dictates that it will.... I'll defend my friends, as I have in the past. These guitars are meaningless to me to be honest.

We've both spent enough time in the mixer with this stuff to know where we're both coming from Rob.

To each their own, nothing personal whatsoever.

One of my customers owns an ex Richie Samboras one and it's a great LP - one of the nicest LPs I've played

This isn't the same, this would be similar to something like a Feline, looks like a Les Paul but is improved and with a different logo
I like that you made that connection
I often use the Eagle Speedster vs E type jag comparison when talking about the Feline Lion guitar

Here is a real '59 and one of mine
