Stereo signal splitter, any ideas?

So I need something that will take a stereo signal (2x 1/4" jacks) that then splits it nicely to two separate stereo feeds (ie. doesn't degrade the signal in any way. @philrob1 ;I know you mention that it's best to have a transformer of some kind when using splitters). Any ideas guys?

Have a look at Lehle they'll most likely have something to do the job

  • Depending on what exactly you're plugging into, it could be as simple as a couple of Y-leads. Or make up a simple passive splitter box as in your diagram above (basically 3 jack sockets connected together in parallel for each side. If you need transformer isolation for one set of feeds, Orchid electronics do a very good quality transformer isolator for £20 each or they do a stereo one for £35 depending on what is more convenient in your physical setup.

Where does the stereo signal come from? If a decently low resistance source then yes, a resistive splitter with a pair of traffs in one output.

    Dave.
