WTB - Cheap(ish) powerd monitors

As above. These'll be my first. I don't really know what I want, or need. But I know I don't want anything too fancy or expensive.

I'm in Manchester and West Yorks, if that helps as I imagine posting speakers might be a ballache.

Got some Event 20/20 BAS. They are the original models which were about £700 new. Good condition and sound amazing - I bought these above the Mackies that were all the rage back then. Would take £260 delivered.

Thanks man. I was looking at the Alesis Elevate 5s. 5" speaker and the pair for £100 seems like a good starting point. Of course, I'd have liked to get the same speakers for £50 s/h.

I bought some M Audio AV30 for the computer, I think they were about £60ish.

Have you looked at / heard the Creative Gigaworks speakers? 
My Dad uses the T20's as monitors in his little home studio and they sound immense for such small speakers.  About £50 I think?...

I've also got some Alesis M1 520's that are great small speakers. Fab nick,  looking for £120 delivered. They are around £200 new.
