Double Muff soundalikes/alternatives?

I've got a Double Muff that I really like the sound of, but it's been booted off the board for now as the buffer thing is annoying, and I have the old one which takes up quite a bit of space and needs a power jack adaptor.

I used it on the double setting, on about three-quarters gain. I also have a Big Muff for heavy fuzz, and a Rat clone for distortion, so wasn't using the DM as a main distortion sound; more as a rhythm sound or gain boost before kicking in a full heavy tone.

Is there anything else that anyone can recommend that'll do a raucous, slightly fuzzy high-ish gain drive sound that doesn't go full fuzz or distortion? Nothing boutiquey or expensive though unless it can be bought as a cheap clone; bonus points if that clone is a Mooer or equivalent!

My initial thought was an OCD clone - has anyone tried one of these alongside a Double Muff?
