Suggest a Temolo Pedal for me?

What's Hot
FuengiFuengi Frets: 2849
I'm after a Tremolo but have not seen anything that floats my boat.

Don't mind spending reasonable cash on a good pedal, but I probably will only use it occasionally, as opposed to my reverb and delay which are almost always on. I'm thinking up to around £125.

Looked at the Joyo as a cheap alternative, but I can't stand that hideous looking dog on the front! (What that about?)

Shape and rate control would be useful.

Mooer Trelicopter or EH Stereo Pulsar are very good and reasonably priced. Neither do the full on/off/on/off square wave effect but they are quite versatile.

@juansolo built me the best tremolo pedal that I've used. It does subtle to full on Radiohead choppiness. I'd love to tell you what it is but I have no idea, it's just great.

The Suhr Jack Rabbit is very nice and will do the choppy thing. If it only had a harmonic mode it'd be perfect.
The Source Audio Vertigo is also good (and offers harmonic...)

  • Danelectro Trem is pretty good for not much dosh. Can select between hard and soft waves

Mr black deluxe plus was excellent.

  • Source audio vertigo? Lots of options. Sounds good, though has that typical Source Audio-ness to it.

  • Henretta Crimson Trem is outstanding, if you have a setting you like and want to leave it. Tiny too. Or Hotone Trem for a cheaper option, again very small!

It's a modded (gives it the mad range) Shoot the Moon 2 (itself based on a Tremulus Lune).

Bbe tremor. £50 secondhand, REALLY bright LED that flashes with your trem speed, 2 speed controls footswitchable, no volume drop, sounds as good as my amp trem.

I'm no big Boss fan, but I've got a TR2 and I think it has a nice warm sound to it and bit of flexibilty with the waveform control. On the downside it's not True Bypass and that is an issue with this pedal as even with the effect off you can still hear a distant swishing/trem modulation sound, which is even more noticable with drive etc on.

Oh! The Stone Deaf Tremotron sounds absolutely amazing! Unfortunately it's also twice my budget...

Suhr Jack Rabbit.  Choice of wave shapes, tap tempo or strum tempo if you need it and also does double duty as a great clean boost (depth all the way down and volume to taste) True bypass or buffered at the flick of a switch, Oh, and sounds great and solidly built.  Love mine.

If you like the reverbs on the Flint, and therefore could trade out your current reverb pedal, it is an awesome unit. The '61 trem is hypnotic. Got lost in that for 3 days once :-)

I love my David Rolo Twin Peaks. Similar tweakability to the Tremulus Lune mentioned by @juansolo , has tap tempo, and nicely built.

It's out of your stated budiet but the Thorpy Chain Home is perfect and I don't use that word lightly.

  • Line 6 M5. Tap Tempo, subdivisions, different models, and if you only occasionally use tremolo, then you have the option to switch to a different effect. It also has a pretty decent tuner built in. You can pick them up in Classifieds for £60ish which is a bargain.
