I share your frustration; few clean up amd sound better than the AM NKT White imho... my limited experience has shown that the Wampler Velvet was very close... and much cheaper !

But some of these guys here will chip, who have more fuzz experience than me...

Maybe some of @ThorpyFX pedals might be an option ?

I have a Sunface White Dot.
It isn't for sale as such, but I've mostly switched to drums now so if you are interested in it then make me an offer, probably best by PM.
I have pictures etc. 

Otherwise yes a Wampler Velvet is reasonably close- doesn't quite nail the snarl but not much can.

Edit: Actually not for sale now as someone else has just bought it from me.

If you can find some nkt275 transistors (at least red dot ones seem to be still available), then put them in a cheap fuzz face kit and try some bigger input capacitors you can get very close - I did this and it worked a treat.
