Decent price for a 2013 VOS R9?

Yes, as title, any thoughts on what sort of price would one be looking at for a technically used but unplayed mint condition one?

Seen a couple used in shops for between £2750 and £3000 but that's retail. Plus I guess good condition is a term that varies.

That seems very low for the shop price of an R9 - I'd have expected that to be shop prices for an R8. I'd have expected a used R9 to be around £1,000 more in a store, or maybe more if its used but unused.  There's a 2013 R9 on Ebay currently for £3,495.

Also on EBay is a 2011 gloss R9 at £3,795, and a 2007 VOS R9 for £3,495.

Even more surprising is that I've seen 2 R9s at the low end of my small scale above there at World Guitars. One was a pretty nice looking tobacco burst 2007. I believe a washed cherry one is in Peach just now at just under £3000 too. Not that I look every day or anything.....

If that was lemonburst I'd be struggling to not justify buying it.

I've played that R9.

Didn't like it, was a bit dead sounding TBH. All of the R8's they had in were better.. Bought a lemon burst one and it sings..

I think so. Not that I've actually ever bought one.

The 2013/14 R9's are highly regarded and a good one is worth about £3000 or just a but below to shift it.  I'm sure there's some average ones around too though..The stuff that's happened to the R9 'brand' from 2015 onwards doesn't hurt that either.

Sounds about right to me. I sold my 07 R9 for £3k. It did have an exceptional top and was light so probably commanded a slight premium over other 07's that I had seen.

For the private seller, definitely. Shifting a secondhand £3,000 guitar as a private seller is bloody difficult in today's buyer's market. @Deijavoo had the right prices earlier.

The post 2013custom shops really have a different thing going for them, you should be able to get one at the 3k mark.
