Best option for sending a guitar body

Would it be Parcelforce through the post office? I would imagine a courier is overkill isn't it?

You may find that the courier is cheaper - but it is worth looking at somewhere like ParcelMonkey or Parcel2Go as they will let you book Parcelforce cheaper than going into the post office, and you can elect to drop the parcel off at either the post office or a parcelforce depot.

click on www.interparcel.com and on page 2 you'll see  few options with cheapest deals with DPD or UPS via a drop off point (often news agent, bargain booze etc) as it works out cheaper for a driver to pick up multiple parcels from one source

£6 for drop-off shop to door for up to 10KG, £50 cover, can be extended. (It's "run" by Parcel2go but has cheaper prices than the P2G site)
