I notice my new Junior 57 has a shallower neck angle than my LP 58
lay both flat on floor and the difference in the two guitars is roughly about half.....( 1" and 1/2 ") distance from neck heel to floor
this par for the course?
Oh, everything is as it should be with regards to bridge height action, intonation and so forth
I also strung new guitar with a set of my regular 10s and they feel like little elastic bands on this guitar...par for the course?
Do the 2014 LP 57 Juniors come with regular PUP wiring or 50s wiring?
many thanks guys

I've just strung up a new special I just made and the tension is noticeable with 10's
The goldtop I made with a wraptail has got 11's on and it still feels good
Depends on what it feels like to you, try 11's can't hurt

the scale length is constant
the break angle is constant
tension the string will be under to tune to pitch (ie standard frequency and amplitude) is constant....
so it must all be in yer heads

still, it's only a difference of a couple of inches here. You can feel a difference, but I wouldn't expect anyone to describe it as a difference of 2 string gauges

Seriously, there are two little screws holding the cover on.

Its only a couple of wires to move & is reversible if you don't like it. Just give it a try.
I've tried a 2015 and that definitely sounded like modern wiring, I'd guess the 2014 is too.
10's don't sound as good to me on a tom bridge either, especially the low e for some reason, probably string tension again just depends how much effort I want to put in
