Can a Boss LS-2 be used to test pedal orders?

GrunfeldGrunfeld Frets: 4038
I'm doing a new build of a simple board and I'm wondering:
EQ before OD, or OD before EQ?

Rather than faff around swapping leads each time could a LS-2 be used to quickly flip the order of two pedals?

No. That's one thing it won't do.

Fiddlesticks!  Then they need to bring out the LS-2 Waza.
    So....
    Will anything do this?
It needs to be invented, now.

Have a look on google for a pedal order switcher. There seems to be quite a few---but if you can solder it would be easy to do yourself.

  • I have a book somewhere with the circuit. I can scan it for you if you can't find one online.

Oh noes, not me and soldering.  Not safe.  I've found a company called Nose who have now gone defunct.
And Saturnworks seem to do one.
These are both based in the States.
I'm trying to figure out if Bright Onion over here do something that could be used as one.

I seem to remember noticing one when I looked through the Bright Onion site a while back. It's a pretty simple circuit - they should be able to custom build one if there isn't one listed (I believe they do custom builds). If not, ask someone like 4140* Effects on here (I think that's the correct name).

    [edit] It's 4114Effects

I can't reliably imagine schematically what it needs to look like -- frustrating.
But building anything like this is way beyond me.
EDIT -- I'll email Bright Onion next week.

Wee Lush Fx is another option here in the UK.  I've had a few odd requests custom made and have been very happy with them.

Good spot, I missed that one.
I've now gone from thinking they don't exist to having to choose between a pretty one and totally functional one that's a bit cheaper!

In the Invertinator's favour it has a switch for each loop (I think?) so you can also use it as a normal 2-way looper.

Yes, a bit more potential functionality on the Invertinator.
I'm trying decide if I need it or not (I am an accomplished tap dancer)... but I suspect it's one of those things I'll find a use for if I have it!

@Wazmeister cheers but not quite what I'm after and I've pretty much decided on the Invertinator.

Yes, that's mine for sale! The Inverter will fit the job perfectly. I used it with my Line 6 M5 to switch it from the front to the back of the pedal chain.

@Grunfeld Happy to do you a deal if it suits your needs.

    Flippin' eck! They're everywhere!
@Bowks yes the wobo does exactly what I was originally wanting but I'm now going for the dual loop AND reverse function too -- I can see me using this.
As it happens closer inspection of Bright Onion shows they do two reverser pedals, the "simple" one which @Sporky linked to and a version with dual loops Dual Reverse Looper
But many thanks for letting me know about yours and good luck with the sale. (cheers @benmurray85 for the heads up too).
