AX8 / FX8 Question regarding "on the fly" tweaking

How easy is it to tweak an effect on these units in a gig situation?

There are a number of things I do with my current pedals when playing live that I would need to be able to do easily and quickly, notably:

1) Adjust volume level or mix of a particular effect
2) Adjust gain on a drive pedal
3) Adjust tone of an effect
4) Adjust feedback, time and mix of a delay/ reverb
5) Change wave shape, depth and tempo of a tremolo 

With my existing setup of traditional pedals, it's a case of bending down, twisting a knob and that's it. 
How does the AX8 or FX8 compare?

I know the Helix UI is some way ahead but I just don't like any of the sounds I've heard from demos so have ruled it out of contention, whereas the Fractal stuff sounds pretty good to me (again, demos only). I'm leaning more towards the AX8 as it offers the amp sims which could be useful but unless it can do the above quickly and easily, it's a non-starter.

its a couple of clicks to do it.  

don't get me wrong its not as easy to do as a pedal, but  you just navigate to the block you're interested in, click on edit and then you are in the settings.

did my second gig with the FX8 at the weekend,  its getting closer now sound wise to my old pedal board in sounds.  What is much better is the using of scenes,makes things a lot easier for songs.   I'm liking it!

When you select the effect with the footswitch you can then press edit and see all the usual knobs but you can also assign most of the things you mentioned to an Expression pedal and adjust without even bending down!
