Singer - songwriter - guitarist - banjoist and all round folk legend died at 90 odd recently Part of the Weavers folk group and as usual under suspicion by the US govt. Nothing changes does it

    Wow....  I'm truly shocked that nobody else has +1'd this thread.  Maybe Tony & I are the only ones who know of Pete Seeger.

    RIP Pete....  I grew up listening to your records courtesy of my parents.
    Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine.
    Also chips are "Plant-based" no matter how you cook them.

    Look on the bright side, he outlived Senator Joe McCarthy by almost 57 years :).

    Quite some guy. I only really know his songs from others - mainly the Byrds and Billy Bragg. 

    He mispronounced Rhymney but had a good stab at Merthyr, so fair play.
