Amazon seem to have dropped the price of a couple of Gibsons, if anyone's into this kind of thing.

Melody Maker at £337

Is it me or are the headstocks really narrow on the melody makers and all their range below studios / standards for 2017?

Melody Makers traditionally have a very narrow headstock.

Ffs. I took a quick look at the link just before going to sleep. Woke this morning to an email @11.37pm from Amazon with my confirmation for an order of that awful firebird. Genuinely must have hit the one click buy in error. Better refuse the delivery tomorrow as it's too late to cancel.

My Amazon couriers don't even give me the chance to refuse delivery, they usually just leave the box on the doorstep, ring the bell and run away. Convenient, huh?

That firebird zero is ugly as hell imo but the black melody maker with tortoiseshell pick guard is lovely, even with the thin headstock.

Honestly. It if wasn't so goddam awful I'd think it was a Freudian purchase but just look at it .........

The Firebird Zero is less on Thomann. 

FWIW, I think the Gibson M2 would make a decent mod platform.  With a Tele Bridge, P90, new pick guard it'd make a decent Fano style.  A hard tail, Supro + Goldfoil for a Coodercaster.

I think the Melody Makers look great personally.

Not played one but £350 for a USA guitar?

Teal or Citron for me although the strawberry milk is just over £300!
