    Nice.
This is not an official response.

  • Given the ubiquity of black Les Paul Custom copies of various brands in the '70s, I often wonder where they all went.

I suspect the correct answer is @HarrySeven's house....

    Very nice btw!

It might be the ale talking but it doesn't look 'right'.

The waist is too narrow or something. Ah what do I know!

Yup...weighs a metric tonne, set neck, superfast action - love it! :)

Very cool :) Mine was awesome apart from the weight! Superfast action sounds right, real easy to play.

  • The weight doesn't bother me - I love heavy guitars! :)

Yerrs! I think mine might still be at my dad's house with stickers all over it and a boss distortion pedal crammed in where the pickup selector was. Reckon I should advertise it on ebay for £1000+?

I didn't mind mine playing at home but at practice and gigs it started to get on my nerves a bit. I have a bit of a dodgy shoulder from a mountain biking incident which doesn't help either! Do kind of wish I kept it now though, if I ever want another lp I'll struggle to get one nearly as good for the money.

If you get round to swapping pickups etc, Bare Knuckle Black Dogs and Pig 90/Mississippi Queen sounded really great in it.

Nope - you should sell it to me immediately! :)

I remember when those Pearl LP's came out, they were unlike the other copies in having a set neck for the same price as a Columbus bolt on LP .

Is it the done thing to top-wrap a Pearl?

Being heavy, do the Pearls have a plywood body?
