Is this one of those questions where you tell us the answer in a bit with a big reveal?

"and it turns out it was shite..."

I did actually know someone with a late 70s AC15 - it was back in the mid 80s.

Sadly back then we were wowed by two simple facts:

    - It actually worked
    - It was bloody loud

  • If you want an ace ac15 I may be selling mine. It's not an old one, or even an ac15, but a ef86 ac15 circuit with 12ax7 boost and a master volume in a vox Cambridge 30 cab with a 10" celestion in it. @4114Effects (danplifier) made it and it's absolutely sweet but I quite want the new Roland stereo combo.

    1978 AC15? I don't think there is one.

  • Possibly a V15 rather than an AC15?

That V15 looks familiar from @ICBM's link - I reckon that's what my mates dad had. Makes sense I guess - it was 1985 - and they were made 81-83.

That blue top plate looks familiar.
