Hi,
A friend of mine is looking to sell an old Hohner Vendetta 65LV amp but has no idea on what is worth. It's in pretty good cosmetic condition but it's missing one of the baffles from the rear that would protect the valves. Electronically it needs some attention. The low input socket seems to have a bad joint somewhere along its signal path as the volume jumps intermittently and seems to react to the jack being wiggled. This seems to improve as the amp gets warm almost to the point it works fine once the amps been on for half an hour.
Any information about the amp or what if might be worth would be greatly appreciated. He was going to stick it on Gumtree for a couple of hundred quid but I felt it must be worth more than that. I'm guessing it's a 60's, British made amp with two channels, effects loops both before and after the preamp. Bright switches on both channels and built in reverb and presence. Currently fitted with a Celestion Lead 80

Very hard to put a value on something as unknown as this, but it won't be less than £150 or probably more than about £300 if it sounds very good and you find someone who really wants it. You may be able to add about £50 to those figures with a full service, but probably no more than that.
