I'd rather have a go on Gene Simmons' missus...
She belongs in the horrific mods thread...

Looks as legit as a nine bob note.  No '59 Les Paul would've had a flame as severe as that.
Check out the flame on this:

She's your old flame eh? Cool. She play an LP, too?

There are a few Burst's for sale currently - not sure if it's more/less than normal as it's not really my world -  but This one, a couple at Rumbleseat, one called "Ralphie", there's, ahem, one at Music Ground/Hanks. Seem to be a few on the market currently?

It's ridiculous - no guitar is worth $1m!
I started out with nothing..... but I've still got most of it left (Seasick Steve)

That's what I was hinting at I suppose, it's an interesting question.

That said, I bet some of these guitars would have been purchased at peak madness for $500,000 or the like so they are already dead ducks investment wise...

I have been wondering when the real top end vintage market will go pop.

The relevant question here is whether it would also affect the 'artist linked' guitars as well....?

Well, that's the thing, @Voxman says it's ridiculous that it's worth $1m but I bet there's a fanatical KISS fan out there who thinks its most reasonably priced...

    It's legit.

And the seller is well known, if a little... eccentric.

I stand corrected:). A cool million is still rather ambitious though.

    Must be the Kiss connection.

    I'd pay a fiver extra for Johnny Marr's '59.

Does anybody know if that sold? Only 160k!
Edit: went down to 150 and 'no longer available'.

Anyone know what Paul Kossoff's Les Paul went for?  I remember it was up for auction last year; not as pretty as this, but Koss's tone was immense.

It didn't sell, I think the reserve was around £250k.

I'd rather give @Bridgehouse a million pounds to sign a '15 junior than be even remotely associated with Kiss.

Having endured a whole gig by Kiss to gain a wholly unsatisfactory shag from a cute young lady (who should have been better in the sack, but wasn't) back in the day, perhaps my viewpoint on this band is skewed - frankly I thought they were awful with deeply forgettable songs...

Outside of the US (that bastion of good taste), does the Kiss connection really add up to a heap of beans?

I can't remember who said it but it rings true - in view of the scarcity and cost of a genuine 50s burst, most of them have been owned by someone at least mildly famous at least once...

    Never Ever Bloody Anything Ever.
