The Grove...haunts me, that one.
Personally, I thought it was pretty harrowing (despite Slash, of all f*cking people, ruin the deaths for me).
Plus at least it's not hit the bottom of the barrel like FTWD yet....
1. Find new settlement with new friendly people
2. win trust of new people, get false sense of security
3. Big Bad arrives, kills most new people and one old favourite.
4. Run away! Eventually kill Big Bad
5. See 1.
When there's so much other great TV being made and I already don't have enough hours to watch it all... I'm kinda over it.
Yup.
That's it pretty much summed up for me. After the Terminus plot it seemed to just be a case of rewind / repeat. Mrs D wants to start watching it again though so no doubt I'll watch it by proxy

I saw Rollins in a sci fi film on the horror channel the other day, he was bloody terrible. The guy already playing Negan is an excellent choice IMO.

Based on what's been said about the last episode, the writer's are finally showing that they've lost control the plot or that they have a sizeable amount of contempt for their audience. With the amount of great TV there is on Netflix, I'm wondering why people keep watching for a payoff that probably isn't coming.

The film? It was The Devil's Tomb. It was B grade straight to dvd stuff but it had some semi decent actors in it; Ray Winstone, Cuba Gooding Jnr. Ol' Henry was embarrassingly bad though.
It's a tough watch sometimes but the acting is top-notch and it is, after all, a post-apocalyptic setting so unlikely to be uplifting. I can understand that isn't everyone's bag, but I think the criticism of rinse/ repeat is unfair.
As things stand I'm interested to see how the other settlements that have been brought into the story will interact and how the hell Rick's people get over this.
I think it's excellent TV.
It's flippin' show about zombies! What else would one want? More love stories? Car chases?
It has some decent character development (take a look what's happened with poor old Rick) and pretty good storyline too. In my opinion show has evolved and much improved in comparison to 3rd and 4th series.
Also - I really don't expect it to be so deep and mind challenging as some other quality TV productions. It's supposed to be different and does the job well I think.
I just think it is becoming an ordeal to get through it.

The lack of any ray of hope, that's exactly how it would be. Only how to get the next meal, next fire, next drink of water.
It seems to be already slowly starting to happen between some of the Central Asian states over water and electricity!

3 meals away from Anarchy, as someone once said.
