Phwoooooar!

Now, I know a lot of people are not fans of the 2015 LPs; but my word, this thing is lovely! No weight relief so it's a big hunk o'love, removable scratchplate, G-Force Tuner and a zero-fret adjustable nut, plus a very chunky neck.

Plays very nicely indeed - looking forward to cranking it out at my gig tomorrow :)

Many thanks to @andrewaward, as it's come from him.

  • Scratchplate on!

    Rule is:

    'bursts = on

    Customs or solid colours with open coil 'buckers = off

    Well, I'll be changing the pups to reverse zebra Suhr Aldrich / BKP Holy Divers if that makes a difference ;)

    Further evidence, if it's needed, that God made trees so that they could be turned into Les Pauls.

    What a top! I'd probably swap the tuners, but, if they're your kind of thing then that looks a stunning guitar!

    As you are gigging it I would leave the pg on just for the protection of the surface from your picking/nails...got a gorgeous top on that so why not keep it as nice as possible for as long as you can

    on - ON - ON!

    Very nice top - Hardware is a bit too shiny for my tastes (I kind of like the VOS look) but looks like a lovely guitar, congrats. :)

    What's the weight of your LP?  When you say it has no weight relief, my understanding is that all LP Traditionals have traditional weight relieving?  I always thought my 1990 LP Custom had no weight relief (it weighs around 11lbs) but recently learned from TFB that all LP Customs from the 80's on had traditional weight relieving.

    BTW, what's the beef about 2015 Traditionals - are they not thought to be as good as other years (& if so, why?)

    I started out with nothing..... but I've still got most of it left (Seasick Steve)

    The 2015's traditionals didn't have any weight relief if I remember rightly, no holes drilled in the body wood.

    Spent Saturday re-stringing it, setting it all up, and putting new pickups in it, just in time for my 3 hour gig on Saturday; sounded amazing! Took a bit of getting used to due to the weight and thick neck, but my word it's lovely to play :)

    Even the G-Force tuner was pretty handy, after getting used to it.
