The big ones that you put over your existing switch? What purpose do they serve?

I use them on a couple of pedals on a cramped Metro 20. Easier to switch them on and off without activating everything else on the board... (I have sizeable feet).

Ha! I know, the thought had occurred to me... I might just colour it in with a Sharpie.

    Custom Pedal Boards.

  • They are also useful on pedals like the bigger strymons where you have to press 2 buttons at once to bank up/down.

So the original company to do this is called barefoot buttons. They had a kickstarter to launch then went full time with it. We loved the ThorpyFX etched ones we had done so much that we have become the UK distributor for Barefoot Buttons, all colours are in stock too.

You can buy them from our website.

I mean cos the whole point of them is that you can use your pedals barefoot, which will cause you to get ink on your foot, thereby jeopardising the organic authenticity of your home made foot squeezed artisanal wine.......

Ah, gotcha :). No, we were humorously discussing painting the MXR tap switch black so it blended seamlessly with the otherwise monochrome nature of the board.

I also got a few of the Mooer and, although I find the look ridiculous, they make it a lot easier to stomp, specially on a small board with a few pedals like mine.
