Odd/weird guitar duets you'd love to see....

What's Hot
Dunno if they've ever collaborated but i'd love to see Paul Gilbert and Billy Gibbons together on an album!
Think the sense of humour would come out!

Who would you love to see pair up? (No lesbian fantasies - strictly guitar please!)

Love the idea of a Clapton/Shields duet, purely to see what would happen

  • JoBo & Chappers. Purely to watch the guitar playing section of the internet self destruct.

Musically I'd like Hetfield to play with Syn Gates- my favourite rhythm player with my favourite lead player (if Zacky Vengeance could sneak in as he's Syns Siamese twin I'd be happy with that).

I know it's not guitar on guitar action but Pete Townsend,  and George Formby (along with John and Keith),  just to hear Formby sing my generation tbh

  • I think in most cases the two people you think wouldn't be able to find common ground would surprise you, either with one or both having a little known background in a particular style or both bringing something to the table that works with who ever they're paired with.  I've seen lots of videos of Les Paul holding his own with everyone he came across.

Keef and Wilko. Lots of similarities but also quite a few differences. AFAIK they've never played together but I suspect that they would bounce off each other surprisingly well.
I play guitar because I enjoy it rather than because I’m any good at it
