This is awesome!

I wanted a pedal that I could use in a band that's trying to cover some old school Sabbath tracks, and I don't really buy distortion pedals, usually only light-ish overdrives.

Saw Paul over at Pro Guitar Shop demonstrating this, and decided it was for me - and it's a phenomenal pedal, it really is.  I've only had it a few hours, but the sludgy Sabbathy textures it comes up with are really brilliant.

Pauls review is obviously much better than mine, but here's a short clip of me on a lovely Iommi-esque setting.

Sweet. Is the distortion entirely from the pedal or is it pushing the amp a bit too?

The amp is dead clean, Richard - although at its heart the pedal is a treble boost I believe, with an amp like gain stage. There's absolutely nothing clean about it!
