My recent thread was a bit stream-of-consciousness so I thought I'd start a new thread for a new chapter as there are some new things going on.
First and foremost the new website is almost there, just the Standard Range to drop in when that "launches" hopefully by the end of next week.
www.smorgpedalboards.comAll info on the website but here are a few highlights:Smorg CustomThis is the new official logo for the custom creations that I make to individual requirements. From here on in, any custom builds will have this logo applied to the back of the board.

There's a few small boards up there at the moment to kick things off, click
here and this will take you to the shop.

Cheers

It's the first Smorg to be available with a hardcase, I've searched high and low for a hard case supplier to work with and this is the first one I've been happy with, well more than happy actually, I'm over the moon with it. The core of the case is silver anodised aluminium and it is lightweight, strong, and looks the absolute business. Not the cheapest option by far, but then I could never compete with the lower end stuff that you can now get, and if that suits your needs then fair play.
The new Pro board is a small evolution of the old Tier. Firstly size wise at 550mm long it's slap bang between the old Tier500 and Tier600 - I wanted to put a bit more distance between the size of the Standard boards so expect something around the 400mm if I were to go smaller and the 700mm Mark if I go bigger.
The depth remains the same at 330mm total.
Height wise, it's around 100mm at the back, again a small decrease from the old Tier but enough for pretty much any power supply.
A few small adaptions - the plates are a higher grade of Alu from old, which gives more strength. The gap inbetween the plates has grown by 5mm (now each gap is 20mm) which, although a small difference, is now large enough to pass all types of jack plug, including pancakes. It's no smaller and no bigger than it needs to be to pass cables basically.
As ever it will come with genuine Velcro brand 50mm wide hook and loop and more cable ties and bases than you will need. It will also come with some M3 dual lock for the fixing the power supply underneath.
Price will be £239 plus postage. This pricepoint puts it slap bang between a Pedaltrain hardcase equivalent (around 30% more) and what I think are the best of the boutique UK flightcase style / hardwood style options, for which I have great respect / admiration (around 30% less).
The board will still available on its own with no case.
Cheers
So in short, I haven't given up on the idea of a softcase option but it's got to be right.

Good luck with these
The website has come on some, in fact it's fully complete aside from needing to add the details and pages for the Grab boards, which will be next week when the new batch of bags arrive.
