What do you consider 'essential spec' on a car?

Further to the LED brake lights on cars thread, what modern conveniences would you not be without on your next car?

For instance, as driving a hire car recently showed me, I could never go back to a car without Cruise Control.

40+ mpg.

We had some stuff stolen a few years ago.  My wife got a clear view of their car as they left. 

"What kind of car was it, love?"

"It was red.  Not a particularly nice red.  Too much of a cherry red for my liking, you know I prefer deeper reds."

That was the sum total of the description she could manage.  Every other query was met with "Well I don't know about cars do I?"
